Carla loves sharing her dynamic combination of content and arts with teachers and students everywhere. Carla is also fluent in Spanish and loves working with Spanish classes and in designing lessons to compare and contrast her own Appalachian culture with musical and dance elements from Latin America.

  • Appalachian Flatfooting and Clogging
  • Dances of the world, featuring group and individual dances from Kentucky, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, and more
  • Songwriting Basics
  • Appalachian Ballads, poetic devices, rhyme schemes, and folklore
  • Cornbread & Tortillas residency, taught in English or Spanish, celebrating cultural connections in music, culture, food and dance of Appalachia and Latin America. (Great for Spanish classes!)
